I run a radio show every Friday night, 8:00 PM est.
Last night I had a show booked even though it was the day after Christmas I felt to carry on and have my show. The last few months I've been having only myself on the last Friday of the month and using it as a way to talk all about a subject or a few. Great time for me to promote whats going on in my eBay life and with my eBay store.

Anyhow, last night my daughters were flying home from Denver where they spent Christmas with their dad and brother and they happen to be coming to my house during the radio show.

I hated to cancel it, so I called my special friend that drove my husband and myself from Kansas to Denver last October to see if she could lend me a hand and she was gracious enough to help me out along with her friend, now my new friend as well.
These two gals did a fantastic job and I can't thank them enough.

AuctionWonderland Rocks my eBay World

I've known this couple for a few years now and they are the sweetest of the sweetest can be! ESPECIALLY since they sent me a mouth watering box of chocolates for Christmas!

Well, they were for my husband too! I did share even though I tried to convince him that he would not like them and that they were terrible ((winks)) !

BUT, this didn't work. He knows me well. It only made him want them MORE! lol

I had the honor to meet Lorrie Norrington and John Donahoe when they presented me with one of the Hall of Fame awards!

2008 I was able to spend quality time with Griff from eBay and Jason Miner from PayPal radio twice during the year in 2008!

This is my tribute to each of them for being a part of my best eBay year!

I had to show off my ornaments created by a great guy I've gotten to know on eBay!

He created these ornaments himself and was kind enough to sell them for Charity!

An eBay Seller Provided a Loving Personal Touch to my item

I just had to blog about this and share this story!

I bought a Christmas Ornament from the Charity event hosted by the eBay Selling Tips group "Ornaments for Charity Campaign" AND, this amazing eBay seller went above and beyond by providing a few little EXTRA sweet gestures.

The first brilliant little thing she did was:
She simply printed out the packaging slip through PayPal on colored paper.
Folded it very nice to make it look professional. Then she put a pretty ribbon around it and taped it in place to also include a decorative sticker.

She wrote a THANK YOU by hand on the front.

Next she printed out a lovely poem on a heavier stock of paper. To enhance the poem she included a PIN with a rose on it.
The Card read:

The Story of The Rose

God created the rose for women.
It represents beauty.
Its petals represent soft skin.
Its leaves represent out stretched arms.
Always loving and giving.
Its stem represents strength.
So, I give this rose to you.
For you are special to me.
Every time yo look at the rose,

She included a Baggie!
Inside this baggie is a bunch of Mini Marshmallows,

She included a card on top , also printed out on a heavier stock of paper.

This is a great example of how powerful a few simple little things we can do that are very inexpensive and yet will have a lasting impact on our customers.

It all began with a Bag of Beans

I had a flashback a bit ago as I stumbled into the Chat area of eBay and noticed the Beanie Babie Chat area!
I remember rushing to that board to learn the scoop of the hot and not so hot beanie babies on the market!
I honestly can't believe it is still there!

Thinking back a few times when we would be in deep conversation about beanies and a so called "Newbie" would enter by mistake. Meaning they would want to chat about something else OTHER than beanie babies, we we ask them to play a game and the trick was to use your keyboard (DON'T DO THIS MY FRIENDS) We would tell them to hit the keys: ALT/Control and Delete all at once and they would be able to view something!
THEN we would watch the membership go down as those people were booted out of the board. Plus their computer would re-boot!
But, it would only make them come back madder than mad!
GOOFY to think about it now! lol
Such child's play and nonsense!

Beanie babies were sure a great money maker back then.
Those bag of beans helped buy my home here in Florida!

I'll be celebrating my 11 year anniversary next month!
Wonder how I should celebrate?

I could list all those beanie babies I invested in that are worth nothing now,, lol

It is luck of the draw. There was nothing wrong with the economy, just the TY company kept making the bags of beans so the market dropped.

We all just looked for PLAN B and moved on to be successful never to give up!

Same still goes with selling on eBay now.

Forget the rumors and the negative writers. Walk away from the gossip because Drama will NOT pay your bills.

A Negative mind can not produce a positive life.
A positive mind will have positive effects!

Stay clear of negativity and negative people.
Negativity is like a disease, it will spread to YOU if you hang out with people that are infested.

Hang tight to those friends that THINK BIG and are on the road to adventure, learning, setting goals and following dreams!

Sometimes I'm in the dark about the news around the world because I get so involved with my eBay/computer world. Then on days like this when I hear of a tragedy taking place, my heart breaks that I didn't know sooner.

Special thanks to Randy Smythe and eBay store owner of: SweetCherry Vintage Lingerie for being my friends on Twitter and to fill those of us in that didn't know.
Both of them are from the area of the fire. Praying they too stay safe.

But, even if I did know sooner what could I possibly do to help from my eBay/computer world here as I sit in Florida.
Sending out prayers is the first step to help.

The only other way I know of to help is to list an item on eBay with 100% of the proceeds to go towards a nonprofit listed with eBay Giving works from that area.
I've done this many times and it may seem like a small thing to do but at least it is something.
