The eBay Giving Works Traveling Charity Bag TRAVELS ON

The Traveling Charity Bag auction was launched last year shortly after attending eBay live 2008. This bag was part of a give-away from eBay Giving Works at a little Cocktail party during eBay live where I was issued the 2008 Golden Ribbon Award, Community Seller from eBay Giving Works (you can watch the video below)
MEANWHILE, I listed this bag during the campaign STAND UP TO CANCER to be a part of this amazing cause in remembrance of my father that lost the battle to rectal cancer. This horrible disease needs to be STAMPED OUT.



I listed the bag on eBay and an eBay Employee won the bag at $208.00 with 100% going to: Stand Up To Cancer.


The bag also included a Journal. And the idea was for the winner to sign the bag, write in the journal and list it back on eBay for Charity. The new winner would do the same and the Traveling eBay Giving Works bag will continue on raising funds for different charities using the eBay Giving Works Platform!
Another WIN WIN situation for all involved!



Since I've become involved with eBay Giving works a few years ago, I've always felt this platform is way overlooked by many in the eBay community. I teach the classes locally here in Ocala Florida, helping nonprofits as well as eBay sellers. I recently taught a 3 week class for Hospice Staff showing them how they can sell items on eBay and donate a percent back to Hospice by using the eBay Giving Works platform.

Ok, my goal was met and it ended up taking me almost all day, BUT I was able to take care of business around the house and tend to my Grandmother AND my husband.

I cooked 3 meals today. Provided snacks in-between.
Started a bit on the taxes.
Spent about an hour on the phone with one of my daughters.
Spoke to my mother about 3 times.
Thought about my treadmill,, lol
Started my detox 7 day vitamin system.
Twittered.
Listened to a radio show.
Did a few emails.
Shipped off about 8 items.
Took a few photos.
Edited photos.
Called a company about selling their product.
Called a non-profit about getting signed up with eBay Giving Works.
Spoke to Grandma's nurse.
Did a load of laundry.
Fed the dog and the cat.
Called my son, left him ANOTHER message.
Made a few pots of coffee.
Left a few feedbacks.
Contacted a few buyers.
Answered a few messages.
Put items on my Bump.
Yelled at my husband, TWICE I think!
AND,
STILL in my SWEATS!

There you have it!
Now,
I am going to reboot my computer and PLAY ON LINE :-)

Daily goal with a blogging reward

Getting myself set-up to get busy listing on eBay today!

Goal setting is very important.

Daily goals help me stay focused.

I like to reward myself with something when I complete my goals.

Something I enjoy and look forward to.

I have a new blog idea, so today after my goal has been met, I plan to set up my new blog.

Met an eBay Friend for Lunch Today

Today I met up with an eBay friend for lunch.
First time we met in person. She has bought a few items from me and listens to: PowerSellingMomRadio.com
She is learning the tricks of the trade in eBay and writing her own eBooks!

She has some great information to share with her experience in Marshall arts and her full time job is Truck Driving! Many know her as "Truck Driving Sue!"

Sue takes her eBay business on the road and I must say she is off to a fantastic start!

Hi, my Name is Mindy.

I am a single Mom of 2 boys 8 & 14. I was working full time

as a consultant at a very well paying job in NY when my job was

no longer needed. I comuted 1 1/2 hours each way to work and was not able

to spend as much time with my children as I would have liked to.

Instead of going back to work out of the home I wanted to be able to

spend more time with my children and to be there when they needed me

I wanted to do something that would allow me to stay at home and make

my own hours so I turned to eBay and started seriously selling in Sept 07
(once the kids went back to school).

I am now Silver PowersellingMom & Trading Assistant.

I sell health and beauty items, Mac, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Clinique,
Prescriptives, Victoria Secret just to name a few.

I also sell Coach among other things, in fact I'll sell just about anything
if I can make money on it!

I do everything from buying, listing, shipping, inventory, you name

it I do it.
